JORGE is an 11 year old boy. Social services from a county about 4 hours away from Choix brought him to us on January 21st, 2010. Please pray for him as he needs a lot of love. |

CHAYITO is 8 years old and cannot talk due to brain damage he received when he was a baby. He is from the neighboring state of Chihuahua. Choix Social Services brought him to us January, 2010. Please pray for Rhonda as she works with him. |

Social Services brought MARIELA and her brother FERNANDO on December 17th, 2009. Mariela is 9 years old and Fernando is 7 years old. |

ESMERALDA and her brother JESUS (below) were brought by DIF (social services) from another county about 2 1/2 hours away from Choix. They arrived at the orphanage November, 2009, and may be at the orphanage indefinitely. Esmeralda is 12 years old. |

MARCELA was brought by DIF in September, 2009. Due to a bad home situation, she may be at the orphanage for long term. She is 4 years old. |

MARIANNA was brought to the orphanage in mid-August as a three-day old infant. Her mom didn't want her so Social Services decided to bring her to the orphanage until they could adopt her out. But the mom said she didn't want her adopted out so Marianna may be here long-term. Please pray that she could grow up feeling loved even though her mom rejected her. |

CATALINA is a 28 year old lady. She was born mentally handicapped so her mind seems to be like that of a 3 year old. Social Services talked to us about taking her. After seeking some counsel from various people, we decided to give her a trial period, starting on August 29th. Please pray for Katalina as she adjusts here and that we could have patience with her. |

ROSALINA is 15 years old. She, her twin sister ROXINA and her infant son JESUS had previously arrived at the orphanage the 17th of May, 2008. Their blood dad who hadn't seen them for about 7 years was contacted and wanted to take care of them. Social Services had allowed it and on June 6th, 2008, the three of them left with their dad. It didn't go well so Roxina and Jesus arrived at the orphanage again on December 1st, and then on January 9th Rosalina arrived. Praise God, Rosalina made a decision to follow Christ. Please pray for her walk with Him. |

LEOBARDO and DOMINGO are brothers from the neighboring state of Chihuahua. They said that neither their mom nor their mom's boyfriend wanted them, so they decided to come to Choix. A lady found them in the streets and took them to DIF (Social Services), who then brought them out to us. They may be at the orphanage for an indefinate amount of time. Leobardo is 13 years old. |

MARIA DE JESUS and FERNANDO are brother and sister, and arrived at the orphanage on May 30th, 2008 through DIF (Social Services). Maria is 12 years old. They come from a sad home situation. |

MIGUEL, a very active 12 year old boy, used to run around Choix with Diego, Alain, and a few other boys. He was living with his grandma before he came to the orphanage. Since he would stay out so late at night, his grandma finally got desperate. She sent him to the orphanage at the beginning of October, 2007. Miguel may be here for an indefinate amount of time. |

DIEGO is 14 years old. He is from Choix. His mom had been wanting to send him to the orphanage because he would wander the streets late at night. Due to various problems he was having while living at his house, his mom signed him over to us for an indefinate amount of time. In March of 2008, he made a decision to follow Christ, and was baptized with Jesse, Lenn's son, who also made the decision the day after Diego. Pray for his Christian walk. Diego's birthday is November 14th. |

MARIA (Mary or Maria in English) is 14 years old. She is from Aguajito which is a 20 minute drive from the orphanage. DIF (Social Services) brought her to us. Due to problems in her home, she was apparently living in the streets and at times at her friends’ homes. On October 8th of 2007, she received the Lord into her heart with the help of Rebecca and Jessica. Her birthday is September 4th. |

TEODORO (Theodore in English) is 16 years old. He is from Sinaloa de Leyva which is approx. a 3 hour drive from the orphanage. We believe that Teodoro was born with Cerebral Palsy which means he can’t control his arms or legs very well due to brain damage at birth, so he’s in a wheelchair. He is intelligent though, and smiles easily. Teo (That’s what we call him) is learning to read because he never had gone to school before coming here. He often watches the others playing or waits expectantly for a friend or police truck to drive by so he can wave to them. In the July of 2007, Teo made a decision to follow Christ with the help of one of the youth from a visiting youth group. Pray for his walk with Christ. His birthday is April 12. |
